Illustrations for public agencies, support services and organisations working with sensitive social issues, including violence, abuse, honor-based oppression, discrimination and mental wellbeing.
These are subjects that are often difficult to communicate through photography. Illustration makes it possible to focus on the essence of a situation while protecting privacy and creating a sense of safety. Rather than depicting difficult experiences in a graphic or distressing way, I aim to create images that are respectful, trustworthy and approachable.
My illustrations often focus on human interaction, support and communication. Through subtle body language, expressions and carefully considered compositions, I highlight the central message while maintaining a calm and informative visual language.
Each illustration begins with hand-drawn sketches before being developed digitally with color, light and texture. Soft pastel tones and gentle contrasts help create a welcoming atmosphere that supports the important work of public agencies and support organisations.
