This series of illustrations was created for Habilitering & Hälsa, Region Stockholm, Nationellt Center för Kvinnofrid, SKL (Sveriges Kommuner Landsting), Myndigheten för Delaktighet.
The aim was to communicate information through relatable and engaging visual narratives, where human interaction, everyday situations and emotional nuance play a central role.
The illustrations portray people in a variety of situations, capturing subtle expressions, body language and interpersonal dynamics. My goal is to create images that convey both mood and meaning, balancing emotional resonance with the factual subject matter that the illustrations are intended to support and clarify.
I am particularly interested in depicting encounters between people, where atmosphere, communication and activity are essential elements of the story. Through careful observation of posture, gestures and relationships, the illustrations help make information more accessible, approachable and human.
Each project begins with hand-drawn sketches. This initial stage allows me to explore composition, proportions and visual flow, ensuring that the illustration works effectively within its intended format. Once the composition is established, the artwork is developed digitally using scanned watercolor paintings. The watercolor textures add depth, warmth and a tactile quality that gives the illustrations a lively and organic character.
The result is a visual language that combines clarity and realism with a soft, human-centered expression, supporting communication in healthcare and educational contexts.
